Primary Teams Policy

Note Well: I think this is out of date. At least, what used to be "Primary" is now, I think, the "Rising Stars" program. I'm not sure if the state fees and policies are still the same. Someone who knows better than I should revise this, and remove this warning. -- MattElder

SCOOPS "Rules of the Block" for Primary Level Teams

(With apologies to Destination ImagiNation's ® Rules of the Road)

SCOOPS invites Destination ImagiNation ® Primary Level teams to perform their solutions in a fun and non-competative setting at their Regional Showcase, Saturday March 15th!

Primary Challenge

For the Primary Level team solving the Primary Level Challenge:

Challenges A,B,C,D, or E

For the Primary Level team solving Challenges A, B, C, D, or E:

All Challenges

For ALL Primary Level teams:

SCOOPS encourages Primary Leve Team Managers to limit their teams to seven (7) team members, however, SCOOPS will allow a maximum of ten (10) team members.

Primary Level teams will not be scheduled for an InstantChallenge unless the Team Manager requests participation on the Team Registration form or notifies the Affiliate Director at least two (2) weeks in advance of the Affiliate Tournament. Primary Level teams participating in Instant Challenge will not be scored but Instant Challenge Appraisers will provide feedback to the team in the Instant Challenge room following the team's participation.

Primary Level teams will not be scored, but will receive feedback about their performance. Appraisers will be talking to the teams after their performances, just as the would to a competative team.

The Team Manager should check with the Head Appraiser of the Challenge half an hour after their performance for feedback forms.

All SCOOPS Primary Level teams will be invited to a special "Cookies and Milk Party" and will be listed in the State Tournament program. So, Primary Level teams - come show us your solutions! We're proud for YOU!
